For the seven years that Dr. George Phillip CD has been associated with the Guardian Holdings Group, he has positively touched the lives of all those who have had the pleasure of interacting with him. A firm believer in personal development and academic pursuits, Dr. Phillip has subtly blended his outstanding strengths of resourcefulness and reliability to assist the once regional conglomerate, Guardian Holdings Limited (GHL) Group to transform itself into the dynamic and outstanding multinational corporation that it is today.
He has served the Group as Member of the Board of Directors for several of its subsidiaries including Guardian Asset Management Jamaica Limited; Guardian Life Limited and West Indies Alliance Insurance Company Limited.
He has also served on a number of Sub-Committees of these Boards as Member and Chairman: Conduct Review; Audit and Investments, Remuneration and Human Resource and Employer Trustee for Staff Pension Fund.
George, you have left an indelible mark on our minds; you have left a void that will be difficult to fill. Your skillful mastery and humility at bridging the gap between line staff and senior management will be greatly missed.
