Jeffrey Mack- Group Chief Executive Officer, Guardian Holdings Limited
Jeff Mack is a citizen of the United States. As the new Group CEO for Guardian Holdings Limited, he combines immense industry expertise with international experience and management know-how. He has an MBA in Finance from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business and holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) as well as the Associate in Reinsurance (Are) designations. Jeff is also a skilled communicator, his first degree being in that field.
From 2004 to 2008, Jeff had been Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive of the four insurance companies of Providence Washington Insurance Group: Providence Washington Insurance Company, York Insurance Company, American Concept Insurance Company and Providence Washington Insurance Company of New York. For 18 years prior to that he had been with Swiss Reinsurance, his last post being Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Swiss Reinsurance’s Financial Services Business Group in Zurich, Switzerland.
Eric Hosin
President &CEO
Eric Hosin was appointed to the position of President, effective, January 1, 2010. Eric has been a member of the Guardian Life executive team since the company commenced operations in 1999 and was appointed its Senior Vice President in 2004. He was appointed to the company’s Board of Directors in 2005.
Prior to joining Guardian Life, Eric served as Assistant Vice President, Missions, Promotions and Public Relations at Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and as Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Horizon Life Limited. He has also served in a number of leadership positions in civic and religious organisations and is currently a Deacon and Board Member of the Church of the Open Bible.
Eric brings over 20 years industry experience, an intimate knowledge of the Guardian Life operations and a wealth of experience leading diverse teams, to his new role as President.
He is a graduate of Duhaney Park Primary School, Calabar High School and the University of Technology, and the holder of a Master of Business Administration degree from Nova South East University. Eric is married and has 3 daughters.
David Henriques
Mr. Henriques is a Jamaican businessman with over 30 years involvement in the agricultural and heavy equipment industry. He is currently executive chairman of Kingston Ice Making Company as well as chairman and managing director of Kingston Industrial Agencies - both of which he has headed since 1977. Mr. Henriques also sits on the boards of Stephenson’s Litho Press Ltd., and Lascelles DeMecado & Co. Ltd. He is a past president and past deputy district governor of the Lions Club of Kingston.
Jerome I. Lee
An Attorney-at-Law specializing in Commercial and Banking transactions, Mr. Lee is Managing Partner at DunnCox. He is Chairman of the Commercial Law Committee of the Jamaican Bar Association and is also an Alternate Dispute Resolution Mediator. Mr. Lee is a graduate of the Norman Manley Law School.
Afeef Lazarus
Mr Lazarus is an Attorney at Law and a Partner in the distinguished Kingston law firm of Livingston, Alexander & Levy since 1975, practising in the fields of corporate, commercial and real estate law. He was admitted to practice in 1973 and is a Notary Public for the Island of Jamaica, a member of the Jamaican Bar Association, the Law Society of England and Wales as well as an Associate Member of the American Bar Association. During his years of practice he has advised on a number of mergers and acquisitions involving local and international companies and has served on a number of public and private boards in the fields of insurance, agriculture, finance and tourism. Mr Lazarus is the President and a past Chairman of the Jamaica Cancer Society and is currently involved in a number of charitable activities.
Peter Reid
A career Banker, Peter Reid has 19 years experience in the financial service industry mainly in the areas of sales management, credit, financial analysis, financial advisory and deal structuring. Assignments and major deals have spanned a wide cross section of economic sectors specializing in the areas of raising capital, acquisitions, balance sheet restructuring and financial advisory. He holds a B.Sc. Degree in International studies.
