I look forward to the awards ceremony every year as it is a special forum where we celebrate together, the demonstrations of excellence and high achievement put forward by our staff members in the offices and in the field. What I like in particular is the elation, pride and excitement which emanates from this space; and how the opportunity to be rewarded in this way motivates our people throughout the year.
Those who will receive awards today, represent the best of our collective effort. Guardian Life operates in a context which spans the local, regional and global economies. And although developments in those realms create some adversity for our business, your outstanding performance continues to keep our company in good stead. Well done.
